~:D O G * C H A T:~ Ruthie and Bjorn took over our fancy iSight cameras and had a little chat yesterday. One would bark, the other would look around the room, behind one of us, then back at the camera. Very confusing. Mom and I are laughing all the while. This is what I do, instead of doing something productive.

i was there and these dogs were not barking. bjorn went off on a tangent about how kierkegaard wasn't the true "father of existentialism" and that it was a danish altar boy who went by the pseudonym "the frog" (loosely translated) that truly advanced the theories of the most basic of internal human conflicts. ruthie kept saying that if you hang around the dishwasher long enough while it's being loaded, that eventually the schmuck humans will let you lick the plates. and that the plates taste good.

THAT'S what really happened.

What kind of dog is Ruthie? She looks like Ohren but a different color. We're still trying to figure out what he is.

Ruthie is a Rat Terrier. Sturdy build. Sweet girl. Mom loves her, even though she's more interested in the dishwasher!

Does she bark at the dishwasher? Ohren (who we think might be Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix) barks at anything that's loud like that - or the vacuum cleaner, a blender, etc.

Ruthie is more likely to lick something than to bark at it!

Ohren sounds like a serious and intense fellow. I bet he's protecting you from those terrifying machines.
