~:R E T O U C H * M E:~

This is what I did this afternoon. Mom is joining another group of artists in a group website. Today she submitted her digital portfolio (paintings) and a black and white portrait, which she asked me to touch up. I had a blast! There are very subtle differences here - like making her eyes larger, bringing out more highlights in the hair, bringing in the arm, lifting the ear, shrinking the wrist - and some textural smoothing. Any requests? And in case you were wondering, don't think I DIDN'T retouch my own blogger profile portrait. (he he)

shocking!!! You still angry that I wouldn't let you shave your head in h.s. Actually everybody, my daughter took a perfectly good photo of me and ADDED the lbs. and made my eyes SMALLER!!

It looks great! (before AND after)
Did you use photoshop? I don't have ps, but just the crappy old whatever comes with the computer, but it does make such a difference just being able to add contrast to photos, and play with the color a bit and sharpen, etc....
It's FUN.

Yes - Photoshop is a dangerous tool. And fun, as you say!

i love photoshopping. i never send out a picture of myself nowadays until i have gotten rid of the bags under my eyes, any zits, and whitened my teeth. a few weeks ago i had to take a picture of my mom for a traveling visa, and i put makeup on her - very subtle blush and eyeliner. it rocked. i've never moved physical pieces though - that wrist bit you did is quite impressive.

K- the wrist thingie I did with Command-Shift-X. There is a tool that shrinks or buldges shapes. Great for trimming waistlines or giving someone (like me!) boobs.
